Wish I knew how to do flatrate I worked in a dealer for 6 months and that’s all I lasted before they let me go I wasn’t learning any of the paperwork part like the stuff you have to do after you do the repair to get paid and for the advisors and shit I’m sure I’m thinkin abt it too hard but I have a decent job rn and I’m scared to go back to a dealer bc I don’t want to end up back where I was jobless I went to school for two years for automotive technology and they didn’t talk or teach much about flatrate just some bullshit repair orders we had to fill out with all data and it was not the same as real world scenarios

My question is do you have to do full inspection on every car like wheels off and everything. At my shop I do, i understand why but they won’t even quote half the stuff. So it takes up a lot of time and inspection are .0 and alignment check .0 those are on every single ticket man 😞
