I don’t think Cynthia’s dress is formal looking. More high fashion semiformal. I like it but she’s done better. Elle Fanning slayed and the blue nightgown one is like the “miss” version of Elle’s “hit”.

I think the miss of the blue dress was the strange triangle side cup and the ruffle. If the ruffle was an a symmetrical travel down the skirt and a normal dart on the side cup it would be better
