✈️ Heart-Stirring Qinghai | Day 1 — The Journey Begins 🇨🇳🏔️ This trip was a little more special than an ordinary holiday. It was my first time travelling this far from home — to Lanzhou and Qinghai — and more importantly, this was an Incentive Trip that we earned after achieving our performance target. ❤️ A big THANK YOU to the 舒视鹰 AI 近视防控team for rewarding more than 200 of us with this wonderful trip! 🙏🏻 Our accommodation, meals, transportation and daily itinerary were all taken care of. We only needed to pay for our own air tickets — everything else was thoughtfully arranged for us. And I must say, travelling with more than 200 people is definitely no small operation! 😄 Every day was well planned, and although the schedule could be tiring at times, looking back… It was absolutely worth it. ❤️ 🌙 And so our journey began… 1:30 AM — Singapore 🇸🇬 21.08.2026 We started our journey in the middle of the night, flying from Singapore to Kunming before transiting to Lanzhou. When I first saw our flight itinerary, my immediate reaction was: “What?! 2½ hours transit in Kunming? Why so long?” 😂 I’ve never really liked transit flights. In my mind, direct is always better — less waiting, less walking, less hassle. But when we actually arrived at Kunming Airport… I changed my mind. 😂 The airport was HUGE! By the time we got off the plane, went through the transfer process and walked what felt like forever to our next boarding gate 🚶🏻‍♀️🧳… Suddenly, that 2½ hours didn’t feel long at all! In fact, we only had about half an hour left to sit down, grab some breakfast and take a short break before it was time to board our next flight. ☕🥣✈️ 💭 And that changed my perspective… I used to think transit time was wasted time. But this trip made me realise that during a long journey, sometimes that little break is exactly what we need. Time to get off the plane. Stretch our legs. Have something to eat. Take a short rest. Reset ourselves… And get ready for the next part of the journey. ❤️ Sometimes, before experiencing something ourselves, we already decide: “Why does it have to take so long?” “Why can’t it be more convenient?” But once we actually go through it, our perspective can completely change. Maybe not every waiting time is wasted time. Sometimes, it’s simply part of the journey. 🌱 ✈️ Singapore → Kunming → Lanzhou After around 7 hours of travelling, we finally arrived in Lanzhou! 🇨🇳 Tired? Definitely. 😂 Worth it? Absolutely. ❤️ And this was only Day 1. 🏔️ My Lanzhou & Qinghai adventure had officially begun! Over the next few posts, I’m going to slowly share this journey one day at a time — not just where we went or what we saw, but the little experiences, funny moments, emotions and lessons along the way.
