Four years ago, I had a vision. Not a business plan. Not a guarantee. A vision. A vision of a floral café in Bloomfield that would bring people together. A vision of culture, celebration, community, flowers, coffee, music, laughter, and experiences that people would remember long after they left our doors. I’ll be honest. There were moments when the voices in my head were louder than the vision. “What if nobody comes?” “What if nobody supports it?” “What if it doesn’t work?” But God had a bigger plan. Last night, the Town of Bloomfield honored Casa de Flora Bar with a Proclamation for our contribution to the Caribbean community. And in that moment, I realized this was never just about me. It was about all of us. It was about creating culture. It was about creating memories. It was about giving people a place to gather, celebrate, dance, laugh, and feel connected. Four years later, Casa de Flora Bar is still standing. Four years later, Caribbean Night has become one of the most anticipated nights of the summer. Four years later, the same community that embraced our vision is helping us write the next chapter. To every customer, every supporter, every family that attended an event, every person who shared a post, purchased a coffee, made a bouquet, attended a Sip & Clip®, danced under the stars, or simply believed in us… Thank you. This proclamation belongs to ALL of us.
