In UK we have roadworks never-ending roadworks on motorways roads whenever everyone else in fact there isn’t a stretch of mouth on a public road of over 5 miles without roadworks 😂 I know this has got nothing to do with it but

Until it freezes and the water trapped inside freezes, causing the asphalt to crack and eventually develop large holes. This happens quite regularly.

only in the winter time. when it's raining and frozen it's not good. you get holes in the road.
