@theinjurygroup: Two students from Rutgers University were struck by an oncoming train late at night. The victims were 24-year-old Navam Kaul (of Sayreville, NJ) and Malaika Chitre (of Dayton/South Brunswick, NJ), both recent Rutgers University attendees/alumni (around the Class of 2024) and longtime friends of South Asian origin. The incident occurred around 3:14–3:15 a.m. on Sunday at the Spring Street station in Lower Manhattan. A southbound No. 4 subway train struck them after one apparently fell or went onto the tracks and the other followed in an apparent attempt to help; the train operator applied emergency brakes but could not stop in time. #NYCSubway #SpringStreet #SubwayAccident #TrainAccident #nycnews
