@jayanijayakanthan: Replying to @Anil Tulsi🍉 that particular statue is also from the first place of worship my parents came to in the states. that church and that specific manifestation of god was all they knew here, hence why we pay respect to it! to be clear we don’t actually follow another religion - Hinduism is what speaks to us :)
Most Hindu’s respect Christ as an avatar/god. It’s simple. Jesus was a perfect human being. We see him as someone to learn from

My only issue is that Hindusim respects other religions but other (mainly abrahamic) religions don’t respect Hindusim. So it’s this interesting paradox where we say all religions are equal all paths are equal but then the opposite is not true which means those paths do not share that fundamental value, so other religions end up being fundamentally unequal.

I support this. As a Hindu we respect all gods. Doesn’t mean you have to worship them but you can if you choose to. Hinduism is about respect and love for all. If others can’t see it they’re blind to what the religion is actually about.

My family did this too, especially because my mom was Catholic. We celebrated both religions and learned from both sides ❤️
I see comments that keep trying to push a POV. Hinduism is a faith with almost a billion independent POVs. It’s a lived religion not a book based one. I would say if someone is critical of this persons POV - you either lack knowledge of the immensity of the faiths diversity or merely projecting your own insecurity in your own faith (Hindu or otherwise).
