When I was in the Army we lost an Apache ... high altitude hover and both hmu's shut down from bad fuel ... both engine stalled pilots tried to dive and auto rotate but by the time not enough to autorotate ... hit belly first at 52g's but apache gun and fuel cells absorbed the hit as it's designed to do both pilots lived but everything broken feet legs spine collar bones arms nasty ... ill never forget the brass nails being blown out of pilots boots laying in the cockpit floor... Id like to say if those cargo container weren't there they would have made it but not sure.... super low and came down fast ... Rest in peace to all 3....
