I saw someone trying to compare it to how some powerlifters piss themselves mid lift. Like they literally stop to clean the platform and you’re also not sitting on the platform. Your shoes touch it which have probably been through worse

I equate the period blood runner to if you fell and scraped your knees up and finished the race bleeding down your legs- period blood is the exact same as all the other blood in your body

And like it’s a completely different sport too, if you’re running there really no equipment to get dirty with your own fluids, maybe the ground but if you’re bleeding THAT much then maybe there’s an issue. Plus there’s a huge difference between what’s in period blood and what’s in literal human feces

could not be more different. running doesn't put your face and hands on equipment after someone else and menstrual blood contains stem cells and is not inherently dangerous, while feces contains e coli.

People also forget that you can also bleed through pads and tampons. I’m not sure if that was the case but it’s another thing that makes it diff than the poop situation.
