A must-have winter street food in Korea is #Hotteok #호떡 which is like a fried pancake with sweet sugar filling inside. The traditional way of making it is to keep the pancake very flat with less oil, but these days there's a variety of different kinds including thick, deep-fried Hotteok with all kinds of fillings (I prefer the classic flat type 😍) Disclaimer: in this video, I am making a general introduction of the traditional sweet Hotteok and its Muslim-friendliness based on its recipe. Please know that it may not be considered Muslim-friendly if the setting or the environment of the stall sells other menus that include haram ingredients. Always ensure that you do your research and double-check on your end! Everything is up to you 😍 Also the stall featured here is in a small countryside village, two hours away from Seoul, where I visited during the Lunar New Year holiday. I don't recommend you to visit the area just for this Hotteok, when you can find the same stalls here and there in Seoul 😝 this is why I'm not sharing the location!
