Great breakdown. One thing that helps at every level: before writing any code, restate the problem out loud and ask 1-2 clarifying questions ("So the input can be empty, right?"). It shows structured thinking and buys you time to plan your approach. For non-native speakers, having these opening phrases ready in English makes a big difference under pressure.
