I lived in UK 1993-1997, 2010-2012 and visited for holidays. Even I have noticed the increase in diversity in UK especially in certain service industries. I only had one British uber my entire 1 month 😂

because you are not paying well, minimum wage is too low to make a living. im African £1 gives me 23 units of my country's currency so don't mind doing those jobs because look after my family back home. in all if you want British people to work make it make sense to them, if your salary £2300 a month but one bedroom flat is £1200 excluding bills you are still have buy groceries, pay bills, bus fare or train tickets, cigarettes, alcoholic drinks how much you left with? so what's the point really ? It absolutely makes no sense for them to work I don't blame them.

So your assumption is here, black and brown people are not British 🤦🏻♂️fyi I am a English born uber driver , but yes 99% in London are of Eastern Europe and African descent but thag don’t mean they not British 🇬🇧

pay is the reason. you can not survive on min wage alone. 0 hour contracts so you may not even have work at some point.

uber doesnt pay enough for the average person to live on. time you pay for fuel ect. the workers were even protesting last year about uber pay. as for the hotels, pends were you go in the country, the hotels that ive been too, where British people.

One reason -- and there are others -- is that the jobs are too poorly paid for people whose living costs are UK-based.However, if you are a temporary migrant worker who is sending 60% + of the cash back home to a country where living costs are lower , then the equation starts to make sense.
