For these desires, he works day and night, prays, waits and sometimes sacrifices his happiness. But often what a person is desperate for, he gets it when the intensity of waiting is gone, the heart is exhausted, and the desire for that thing is not what it used to be. Time changes man. Constant waiting, failed attempts and bitter experiences of life teach man that not every desire needs to be fulfilled. Gradually he learns to take his wish out of his heart, turns his attention to another goal and develops within himself the strength that life will not stop if he does not get what he wants. Surprisingly, at the same stage, fate often brings the same thing to man that he once was anxious for, but its importance does not remain the same now, because man has changed. It happens not only with things but also with relationships. Some people wait years for someone’s love, attention, or return. Then there comes a time when they take care of themselves, learn to live with their wounds, and the heart breaks free from that wait. Many times the person or the opportunity comes back after that, but now the heart is not as restless as before, because time has taught man selfishness, patience, and realism rather than desire. However, this phrase should not be understood as the essential principle of life, for not every desire is fulfilled late, nor is everything achieved when its desire is exhausted. Its real message is that man should not associate his pleasures with only one desire. It is natural to have desires, but it is not right to take his life, comfort and self-respect as prisoners. For when man learns to believe in his character, patience and hard work more than he wants, then he is grateful if he finds a destination, and if he does not find it, he is not broken.
