UPDATE: RESCUED ❤️ 🚨‼️EUTHANASIA DEADLINE NOW‼️🚨 📍INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA 🚨Jeremy needs a hero immediately! There are local rescues that will pull him, but they need a committed foster lined up! 🚨His status has just been changed to “rescue only” due to an incident while being leashed in his kennel. Jeremy needs to be rescued immediately to avoid euthanasia as a result of this incident. He was already scheduled to be euthanized on 9/21 due to lack of kennel space, but now he is much more urgent. Please read the whole post description & message me if interested in him!! ❗️I do not work at the shelter and I do not have any say in their decisions. Animals being euthanized for kennel space breaks my heart so I do everything I can to make sure it doesn’t happen. I foster at risk/euth listed dogs & cats to keep them safe, post the other at risk animals in the shelter & help coordinate rescue so we can save as many as possible ❤️ ─────── 🩵 Jeremy, A368155 Staff notes & info from the Indianapolis Animal Care Services Trello page: Sex: Neutered male Breed: Tri-colored Pitbull Age: 2 years old Weight: 56 Lbs. Heartworm: Negative Experienced with Dogs: Yes Experienced with Cats: Not cat friendly Experienced with Kids: Yes Available for Rescue: Yes Available for Adoption: Yes Available for IACS Foster: Yes Jeremy is seeking placement and must find placement by 5pm 9/21, due to growing increasingly stressed and hard to handle in the shelter, he is jumpy mouthy and difficult to leash and will grab arms when attempting to bite the leash. His previous owner notes that he does well with other dogs and children from toddlers to teens. He must not go to a home with cats or other small animals, due to having a high prey drive. We would love to get him out of the shelter and into an appropriate home as soon as possible. ─────── His previous owners said: "Jeremy was our boy. Our hearts were shattered to return him. The only reason we did was he can not be around cats or small animals. He LOVED us so much. I have never had to return a pet. We've made it work. He got probiotic supplements that really helped while with us. He enjoyed car rides and pup cups. Adored having his dad as a best friend. He's a boy that's been loved. And showed us love back. With the cat aggression we sadly didn't stay as a family. He never showed any of us any kind of aggression. The shelter environment isn't where his true personality shines. Thank you IACS staff for not giving up on him. The best thing we got out of our experience and time with Jeremy is LOVE." ─────── #shelterdog #animalrescue #bullybreeds #adoptdontshop #fosteringsaveslives - @naahlulali
