I work building industrial sized AC units and we use a plastic comb to fix the "gills" they're cheap and effective. That being said, one like this would likely last longer and be more effective with multiple different spaced "gills" on different ac units

Worked in an Air conditioner and Furnace factory we used those all the time they have different size plastic combs,we called them fin combs, I've built more coils and furnaces over 35 years a coil is what u call a completed set of fins with the copper installed and taken to the expander to stretch the copper into the fins, it's very interesting 🥰

I have a proffesional tik tok hvac certification and you can use a comb but this might/will last longer something about gills

Now if you could just invent something that would protect your knuckles when you're working close to the radiator. how many times has anybody ever been working around there and your hand slips and you wrap your knuckles on those sharp little fins. You thought a paper cut was bad? Wait till you get radiator fin cuts. And don't say gloves. the only gloves that you could wear and still be able to handle your tools to be the nitro gloves and they ain't going to stop no radiator cuts.
