Marie Ebert worked as a senior specialist at management consultancy Bain & Company who released a statement: “Marie Ebert was a much-loved and deeply respected member of our London team. She was exceptional at her job, admired by everyone who worked with her, and had an extraordinary future ahead of her. "We are devastated.” Meanwhile, Alex Cromie’s firm, asset management firm, Blackstone, said: “We are shocked by the tragic passing of three people, including our colleague Alex Cromie and his wife Marie Ebert, who were celebrating their honeymoon. "Alex was beloved by everyone who knew him and worked with him at Blackstone, and our thoughts and prayers are with his loved ones.” Footage shared on social media shows fire erupting in the distance, with thick smoke rising from the wreckage. Local media reported that the helicopter rapidly lost altitude and burst into flames upon impact. The Bell 206 helicopter took off near the Greek capital on Monday, Athens newspaper Ta Nea reported. However, radio silence followed shortly after the pilot, Giorgos Raikos, said he was preparing to land. Emergency services were called to the scene at around 6:15pm local time. No homes were hit during the incident on the popular tourist island, which has a population of around 2,600 people. #5News #greece #helicoptercrash
