@toofs1: Moving away definitely changed the way I look at friendships. You realise pretty quickly who you were actually close with and who you were just around because of work, routine or being in the same places all the time. Some people you barely speak to now, and others you might not talk to for weeks but when you do, nothing’s changed. That’s made me care a lot less about having a big circle. Give me a few genuine people over knowing everyone. Funny thing is, since moving here we’ve met complete strangers who’ve become proper mates quicker than people I’d known for years. Sometimes distance doesn’t ruin relationships. It just shows you which ones were real.
