Because she’s a white doll that uses a face mold used for a Pacific Islander doll (Nanea)! Nanea even has painted on eye notches but the other Nanea molds do not.

it's the outfits that did her dirty honestly

Cryssi K. :
The main issue was the fact her entire collection seems way too similar to the Sophia brand sold on eBay and Amazon for twice to three times the amount.

I think she's adorable I just wish there was more diversity, like the girls of the years who are poc don't get as much attention as the white dolls, and now that the new girl of the year dolls are revealed earlier it feels like they are cutting everything short so no doll really gets the time to shine.

I think if you love Summer then thats amazing and you shouldn't let anyone else's opinion about her matter 💕 there is a special doll for every girlie out there! She holds a special place in your heart and you love her and thats all that matters! Summer would get the love she needs and deserves from you I just know it ❤️

she’s just eh, im not a fan of the face mold/eye lash set up and she gives truly me not significant doll doing stuff. im a blonde (look like isabelle with mias freckles) and theres just many tm/jly like her and she looks like a younger version of isabelle

People are genuinely so nasty about her but she's literally just a little girl who likes bright clothes and animals and baking. I think sometimes adult collectors forget they aren't the main audience

The only reason why she isn’t my favorite is because how cheap her collection looks
