i think it also depends what you really count as racism, sometimes they are genuinely just more ignorant than anything and don’t really mean harm but i think its important to approach everything with an open mind. my personal experience is that the white locals are always extremely outgoing but that doesn’t make them necessarily unfriendly and there is honestly nothing to be scared of in approaching them to make friends!

Racism in the Anglo Saxon countries are often covert, silent, and systemic - manifesting in racial troupes via traditional media, hiring, dating, etc. These is often far more damaging than physical aggression.
