As a kid I always passed the eye test because they did my right eye first every time. (My good eye). I memorized the chart by the time it was time for my left eye. Couldn’t see shit but knew what it said

My child had autism too. Reading chapter books before kindergarten and could multiply 2 digit by 2 digit numbers in his head. Not the flex parents think.

My autistic kid was so worried about ‘failing’ her sight test she wound pre read the charts on the wall so when she could no longer see them she still knew the answer 😂 kid had BVD and needed glasses but took so long to get them cause she was cheating

when I was 2 the ophthalmologist was asking if I could see the butterfly in the image. I kept saying no. She went out to get someone else because she was very concerned. when she left the room mum asked me why I wasn't telling her I could see the pink butterfly... I told her it was a dragonfly 🙃 apparently it was a dragonfly and was massive, they thought I was straight up blind 😂

When I had my first test they gave me animals instead of letters. I could see the animals but didn't know what most of them were so they thought I couldn't see. I could see, I just didn't know what half the animals were and when I had my next test they gave me letters and my eyes were near perfect. They were so confused how my eyes improved so drastically from one year to the next. Because I'm dumb, not blind.

my daughter was 4 when we were driving down the road and started reading street signs out loud and my husband and i looked at eachother like ??? "you can read that???" she also has been multiplying since kindergarten and just loves numbers in general. shes in 2nd grade now and is so bored.

Gotta be careful he's not memorising the chart. Nobody told me the purpose of the test, so when they asked me what the letters were, I answered. Nobody thought to ask if I could actually read them.
