@accin_ture: Spain’s prime minister has said accommodation for up to 10,000 migrants is being prepared in Ceuta as he again defended his government’s response to the mass influx into the city. “I wouldn’t say it was mishandled,” Pedro Sánchez said on September 14, referring to the arrival in Ceuta of 80,000 migrants, mostly young men from Morocco, on July 30 and 31. “What happened is that we couldn’t cope with the influx,” he said in an interview on El Intermedio, a left-leaning television show. “What we did was absorb those people and then return them to Morocco. The proof is that nine out of ten went back.”
