I actually fell victim to this setup at the airport the other day. My flight was 7:25pm and I got to the domestic wing at 6:58pm. This guy in a green reflective jacket offered to “help” me, and knowing how far Arik’s check-in spot is in Abuja, I ran like my life depended on it. We got there, I lied that I was coming from Nasarawa, and luckily they let me in. Then this man said, “give me ₦10k.” My hair stood up. I threatened to cause a scene and eventually gave him ₦1k just to disappear. Any form of airport assistance in this country again? Never.
