An intergalactic travel is a hypothetical journey between galaxies that remains completely impossible today, existing only within theoretical physics and science fiction. Interestingly, if a ship could accelerate continuously at a comfortable 1g close to the speed of light, Einstein's time dilation means the journey would feel like only 28 years for the astronauts on board. However, the energy required for this is catastrophic, demanding trillions of kilograms of fuel for every single kilogram of ship mass. The second scenario is utilizing hypervelocity stars. This is a natural transport method where supermassive black holes eject entire star systems from galaxies at speeds up to 3,000 km/s. An advanced civilization could colonize a planet orbiting such a star and ride it across the galactic void, though the journey would still take hundreds of millions of years. The third and most speculative scenario is spacetime manipulation. This includes concepts like the Alcubierre warp drive or traversable wormholes.
