WOW as long as I've lived in North Charlotte never knew. It's sad to think how they tucked away such an important part of history. a larger sign, memoriam and well kept area with flowers would be nice.

I’ve only lived in that area since I moved to Charlotte and NEVER knew …I just looked it up and that plantation was as 600 acres …so that WHOLE area of mallard creek was the plantation…I lived up the street in the apartments by the daycare and I always felt something was off about the area ….. now I’m moving back over there and finding out the damn grave site even CLOSER to my new apartment 🤭🤭 I’m getting some sage and salting the door I’m not playing this time 😒😒 if you are an impatient you can feel the weight of something over there fr

I've been here 30 years and was in the school system this is never talked no field trips! we could go to the other Plantation off North Tryon but never told about this and furthermore how could you put residence so close to that area you put an apartment on top of a plantation. would they have done that to Latta Plantation?

I think there's another cemetery like this in a shopping center.might be the one up on university Blvd and McCullough drive its just gated in the back with small headstones
