2 months after my dad died and the first Father’s Day without him my “friends” at the time sent “happy Father’s Day!” to each other in the group chat. No mention of my father that had just died suddenly. Also never heard of 22 yr old girls wishing each other a happy Father’s Day? 8 years later and it truly baffles me that they did that and I can’t figure out why they would. I never spoke to them again.

end of my sophomore year i got pregnant n miscarried, while i was going through that grief everyone kept telling me “omg thank god now we can get fucked up this summer” i didnt even go out like that. even before the miscarriage i accepted that i was gna b a mom n started getting a lil excited. i started getting messages of my own friends trying to be funny and telling me to abort it. shit was not funny. i stopped going to school and didn’t talk to a lot of ppl bc of this.

I was walking out of my boyfriend (of 5 years) funeral bawling my eyes out I could barely breath or see the walkway and my “best friend” approached me laughing and smiling and said “oh my god did you see me ex boyfriend here” as I had mascara running all down my face. That moment changed me forever, I realized no one actually cared about what I was going through because I was young and he was “just a boyfriend”

3 weeks after my mom jumped off the GG bridge, I went to visit my friend to give her her bday gift. her dog jumped onto my lap and was trying to jump off. she goes, "noo taco don't jump. you have so much to live for".... read the room. she has not lived that one down. shes always been a good friend and she did sincerely apologize and feels bad till this day. I just still don't understand how she could have said that.
