It’s also called a love bite it’s not just because they’re under stress my cat does it when I’m petting him. I still have to be careful. I had to get a penicillin shot due to the infection the bite caused. He was just feeling affectionate.

Nah, my cat does it out of affection. She'll groom our hands and fingers and give a little chomp. She does the same thing to our other cats. They are less accepting of the love chomp.
