I’d always recommend using a screwdriver for this, it’s easy to do and you can feel the resistance unlike with a drill.

Don’t use them. They’re rated at only a few kilos and the leveraged on the shelf is huge with just a small weight on it

I’ve put hundreds of shelves up and drilled thousands of holes but found myself watching every second of this 😂 Great tutorial for beginners. The only thing I do differently is put the first screw in loosely then the second to allow a little movement before tightening both 👍

Those wall plugs are rubbish. The amount of jobs I’ve been called out to where shelves or curtain poles have fallen off cos of these or where these have actually cracked, chipped or broken.
