@lizard.life.archi: Archie came in my bedroom, climbed on my bed on his own, and... started biting. He has a serious question for me.. Maybe 🤔 #lizard #pet #lizardarchi #tegus #lizardlife

DD :

Those big jowels are jaw muscles. Tegu's have a very strong bite. If he was looking to hurt someone he would. These bites look like playful affection.

Timmy❌ :

"Feed me or I'll eat you."

ImmaBigE :

love bites +0 damage +1000 happiness

Erica Morrow :

Sir, your baby dinosaur is trying to eat you.

Craźeツ :

Why does he do that

Brightwind :

Sir your cookies and cream icecream is biting you 😂

jerajames :

I've always wanted a tegu 😩

Argentum :

From what I could google the chuffing might be courting behaviour, especially combined with the biting🥰

Munsnek :

This is why I say it is BS when someone tells me they can’t experience play or affection

Happyhognose :

Huff huff of tender noms thats adorable 🥰😂 on another note I DIDNT KNOW THEY COULD MAKE SUCH A SOUND😂

GummyGrub :

His hiss and bites remind me of a cat😭

_weldx :

that is a dinosaur and it is hungry 😬

Kaijukats_no.1_simp :

other comments have said it but I have to echo the sentiment, it amazes me that those were play bites. Tegu have horrifically strong jaw muscles, and exceptionally sharp teeth. if he wanted to do damage he would have, which further shows not just the trust but also the affection he has for you, and with that capacity of emotional range just how intelligent they are as reptiles!

user3391228115806 Lana :

Because he loves you.

Im Not A Lizard Wizard :

my cat does this when he demands i pay attention to him lol

LennyApple :

I imagine his DNA is freaking out. “I’m not supposed to love this guy but god damn it I do. BITE HIM”

nicola.borsella :

"watch me i'm a dinosaur"

Jaimie_656 :

Bro sounds like some bull dog or pug breathing 😭💕 tegus are so cool

irina kamensk :

Очередное доказательство, что у рептилий нет эмпатии, они не привязываются к владельцу, для них весь мир еда и НЕ еда.

Pilot_Samoleta :

Ищет где поудобнее и где помягче.. чтоб оторвать кусок руки

Frecklesandgeckos🦎 :

Tegus have the strongest bite force amongst lizards, if he wanted to hurt this guy, he absolutely could! You can tell those are playful bites. Is he perhaps in the mood where he is looking for a mate? My leachianus does this sometimes.

phoebe :

Jery :

very serious question
