this is why i absolutely abhor when people say that dr. ratio is an accessory for aventurine. no, he only is an accessory to him if you make him feel like he is. he's his own independent character—we've only yet to unravel most of who he is. but just because we don't know anything about him doesn't make him a support for aventurine's character. i've researched dr. ratio more than anybody has, when i say he has a complex character, i mean it. he shouldn't be disregarded just because he has no backstory. that doesn't rid him of his character complexity

Genuinely Ratio’s dialogue here healed me. I still remember the one that really got me was “but even a life marked by failure is a life worth living.” I had it quoted in my discord status and in the artbook I had then.

Veritas used to be my favourite. I still love him, but unfortunately Blade came along and snared me. But Veritas is an amazing and interestingly complex character who I'm proud to have loved and mained for a while. I admire his selfless wish to spread knowledge and his eccentricity.

Anyways, to the creator: I have read your caption and although I’m not familiar with ratio’s personality since I’m not a big fan myself, I still think he would be proud, in his own way and I believe you know that too. I had to rewrite my comment because genuinely I’m so happy to have you here. Being here in this community discussing a character that helped me find motivation and even the smallest bit of ambition in my life was so helpful. The Exact character that helped me was Korosensei, but discovering Dr. Ratio made me want again. I felt like I was drowning without any given purpose. He’s genuinely so inspirational and encouraging and it makes me so happy he was created. I’m so happy that he helped you too. I’m still personally within the nihilistic umbrella, though particularly I’m an absurdist. But I’m happy that he helped you, and I love your videos and chatting here with you and others about him.

Me parece increíble la descripción, es como leerme a mi misma JAJAJAJA. Me parece curioso que las otras personas con las que comparto el amor a Ratio tenemos esta tendencia al nihilismo. Yo personalmente me veo incapaz de abandonar esos pensamientos pero, si. Considero que pensar constantemente en Ratio y su forma de ver el mundo me ha mejorado como persona, aunque sea un poco.

Dr. Ratio may seem, on the outside, like an egocentric character who rarely cares about the people around him, only wanting information. But the reality is that he simply doesn't know how to express himself properly like you or me, but whenever someone needed him, he helped without expecting a thank you. He is indeed a fictional character, but one who can be greatly cherished. I consider this character to have enormous depth and to demonstrate what many people can suffer. I read your caption; don't pay attention to what others are saying in the comments, believe in your dreams, your ideals, and especially in what you love most!
