Getting Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) doesn't mean you can leave the UK indefinitely without consequences. 🇬🇧 Ordinary ILR: generally lapses after more than 2 continuous years outside the UK. 🇪🇺 EUSS settled status: generally 5 continuous years outside the UK. 🇨🇭 Swiss citizens & their family members with EUSS settled status: generally 4 continuous years.
