His final line is one of the best in movie history. Not sure if it’s in the book, but makes you think more than you’d like. Makes a second watch that much better. What I wouldn’t give to watch this for the first time again. “Which would be worse: to live as a monster or to die as a good man?”

this movie struck a cord.. how psychiatry patients are treat worse than prison prisoners, so the patients beg to be sent to jail not a hospital that can legally torture and drug them.

This is basically extreme psychosis(all the conspiracy crafting/hallucinations) mixed with like Dissociative Identity Disorder. Crazy i deal with Psychosis myself. I had a similar experience where I thought I was gonna die

Incredible movie. The twist was incredible and the ending was both sad and somewhat happy, as if he knew he’d never be truly cured and rather be lobotomized than continue this cycle.
