To get the claimed 45 hours you have to turn brightness all the way down, shut out it in low power mode and close all apps and the video has to be downloaded not streamed. Even then they are still pushing the limits with the claim

let’s not believe the ‘actual’ numbers. apple usually is the most reliable company when it comes to facts and figures and video playback is always measured in different ways.

Apple always advertises ridiculously and hides actual specifications. Toan gave numbers but could not prove the reality.

For context they aren’t actually “claiming” these numbers. Those numbers are for “video playback” a completely different principle to what you’re testing
