These things will randomly turn on just a couple candles at a time, and drain the batteries. So then by the time Halloween comes around, you have three working candles.

Not for wood like a porch ceiling but inside the house, ya'll aren't going to believe me but I've got video proof and I'm currently doing it with floating flower/ skeleton hand...sewing needles, pins with the tiny head, they hold A LOT. its like a tiny nail. the tiny hole they leave isn't visible like a nail. I've done this for 20 years. witch hats, candles, pumpkins...
