my ex-husband and I worked for several of the party stores and gas stations here in town and they used to invite us over to their homes for dinner or drinks. these guys were from India and there were a few Arabs and in their culture it's highly offensive to not eat food when it's offered by them and it's taken as disrespectful if you decline. ijs. the fact they don't understand much English and she's being forced to leave in the middle of dinner, that's probably the reason why he became combative. it's not an excuse and I understand that it's frustrating in a situation like that, but they should have immediately brought a translator in to fix the language barrier.
