I remember seeing a video of someone on AC at the gym during treatment, meanwhile I couldn't do the stairs 🤣

I feel that I give off that I have recovered pretty well. but the truth is I'm struggling so much. Im exhausted, I'm mentally burned out, my patience is much thinner and every day is a fight. eating makes me sick, but not eating makes me sick. struggle with sleep. I'm also now scared that I'm going to have random allergy attacks (reacted to all the chemos)) but if I stop moving I feel like I'll never leave the bed / couch again. like I'll be physically unable to. I also feel like I need to keep up appearances that everything is fine. so I do and that's life right now u

I had brain cancer. I had 30 rounds of brain radiation and 6 cycles of chemo. My last chemo was six months ago and my last radiation was 15 month ago. I am still so tired. I take a 2 hour nap 3 days a week. I get so mad at my body, but I remind myself my body has worked hard these past 20 months. I totally understand about feeling terrible. I think the hardest thing (and I still don’t think I’ve accepted it) is that I will never be the same person I was before

Tbh I have always thought you had so much more energy than me and I finished chemo a bit after you. I think the people who you think have more energy than you probably don’t lol

I keep getting asked when I’m going back to work.. I worked in hospitality before, working full weddings etc. I feel like I have only just started to accept and mentally process what happened. I finished treatment in march at 26 (diagnosed at 24) I am so bewildered and heartbroken, mourning how life events would have been if I hadn’t been so poorly. I feel so beyond excited for my friends getting married/having children but I feel so behind from everyone. I think I need to take a step back and realise what ive gone through is quite monumental for my life and I did it smiling and laughing. We will get there, I’m doing what I can when I can, but if I have a ‘big’ day e.g going to a wedding (even a night do) I will sleep for the next two days, I don’t want to but I am so beyond exhausted I have no choice. I guess people only see me when I am pushing myself in public and at social events, they don’t see the after

I relate to this so much. I felt like I took chemo so much harder than others and I took so much time to recover. But at the end of the day, we survived some crazy shit.

Needed this. I had my two back to back surgeries and they took me out way more than I hoped. I follow some people who are moving so nicely and had surgery the same time as me. I watch them and I’m like howww are you moving your arm I don’t get it 😂 but we’re all different and it’s hard to remember they might be dealing with something different that I’m not

I started seeing a naturopath dr and its been worth every penny. Turns out I'm super low on vitamin D. I get what you're saying. I'm exhausted, my hips are constantly aching and I do not sleep well. I really wanted to bounce back but I am still not where I wish I could be. Learning to be patient and give ourselves grace is part of the process 🥴

I was diagnosed in 2020, went through 16months of active treatment. On hormone therapy and still feel like I’m not thriving. But to other people I look like I’m doing great, because I don’t want a pity party. You’re doing great 💜

Also, they might not be showing the whole story on line! You are truthful and that is very helpful to others!💕
