Just get the goats, but put up some cattle panel instead. They eat everything, weeds first and they love scraps as treats

just keep in mind...it you throw a pail of water at the fence and it gets wet on the other side...you won't keep goats in.

Definitely go to the nearest dairy and pick up 2 bull calves. Ring em and raise em for the freezer. I have lots of good memories raising calves. It's tough to see them go for meat but it's good to grow up understanding the food cycle.
