🔥 TUPAC LOST A $100,000 MOVIE ROLE OVER A MUSLIM CHARACTER — AND THINGS GOT UGLY! 😳😂 The Hughes Brothers, Allen and Albert, had worked with Tupac Shakur on several occasions, directing some of his early music videos, including Brenda’s Got a Baby and Trapped. But things took a dramatic turn when they cast him as Sharif, a Muslim character, in the 1993 movie Menace II Society. Tupac reportedly had a problem with how the character was written. He wanted the filmmakers to explain why Sharif had become a Muslim while hanging around gang members. He felt the character needed a believable backstory. The disagreements escalated during rehearsals, and the brothers eventually fired him from the movie. But Pac wasn't ready to let it go. Months later, during a music video shoot, Allen Hughes was attacked by Tupac's entourage. The incident led to Tupac being convicted of assault and sentenced to 15 days in jail. Interestingly, Allen Hughes later revealed that Tupac had apologized several times and had tried to reconcile with him. And years later, Allen even went on to direct the documentary series Dear Mama, exploring Tupac's life and relationship with his mother. Imagine losing a movie role, getting into a serious altercation with the directors, and ending up behind bars over a disagreement about a character! Then reconcile and work together again.
