Linkage is not properly adjusted. Thats why you get a good spark when you manually actuate it but a weak one or none when you turn the flywheel over.

Test for apart by putting the spark plug on the magneto housing, that’ll rule out a poor ground through the engine mounting

The Spark plug ground is not in a good contact with the ground of the spark generator and the engine ground. Maybe rust is on the way. try to check the spark from the inside .

look how fast your moving it on the bench vs. it spinning on the motor. spinning faster would help!

Replacing the paper gasket between the magneto and the engine with a metal gasket should do the trick. Good luck.

As a hit and miss engineer, it’s really quite easy! The resistance between your magneto to the housing is waaay too high! Clean the magneto where its mounted to the housing and the housing Part too. Rust is an isolator and sparks hate it

It's a hit or miss bubba, it's not gonna get spark on every single stroke. It's timed to only hit on certain strokes
