Madison was a 19 year old student at LSU in Louisiana. On the 15th January 2023, Madison was spotted on CCTV leaving Reggie’s bar. She had met a group of 3 males that night and allegedly agreed to have a lift home. These were Desmond Carter, Kaivon Washington, Casen Carver and Everett Lee Less than an hour later, Madison was dropped off at the side of a road - and was tragically hit by a car. It’s alleged that two of the males in the car R’d Madison. THEY claim it was consensual. The prosecution are stating that it was not. Desmond Carters trial was postponed but is set to begin September 2026 Interestingly Kaivon Washington, one of the group, was arrested PRIOR to Madison’s alleged R, over ANOTHER alleged R in 2020. This was of a 12 year old girl. Desmond’s defence team have tried to ban pink clothing at the trial - saying that people wearing pink to support Madison could mean he doesn’t get a fair trial. Reggie’s literally was referred to as “date rape Reggie’s” when I was a student….. I personally have rescued girls from the cars and hands of men WAITING for drunk girls to come outside to get them in their cars! My first day on campus I went to Reggie’s. No ID check… No ID for drinks and a fire hazard! They been raided NUMEROUS times for these crimes.

I know it's rare that rapists even get punished, but I think the penalty for witnessing a violent crime and doing nothing about it or helping when your life is not in danger should be a much higher sentence than what it is.
