Is no one else seeing the major red flags when politicians, the media, and military bosses keep demanding more taxpayer money for defence? Over a trillion pounds has already been spent in the last twenty years on aircraft carriers that break down, jet fighters, Apache helicopters, and submarines. A decade ago the script was that cyber warfare was the real threat to our energy and communications networks, but now the narrative conveniently shifts back to conventional warfare. Every five years we get a brand new justification to pump billions more into defence, leaving us to wonder where all that previous equipment went and why it is never enough. The simple truth is that fear is a brilliant business model, enriching private defence contractors, paying massive executive bonuses, and handing out fat dividends to shareholders while taxpayers are trapped funding an endless cycle.

It’s fuck all to do with us it’s the government using our money on foreign aid and benefits instead of our own national security. Don’t start blaming the public when we’re being taxed to the hills
