Through September 30, Capital One miles transfer to Japan Airlines Mileage Bank with a 30% bonus. Every 1,000 Capital One miles becomes 975 JAL miles. The normal rate is just 750. Here's why that matters. Japan Airlines prices business class between the US and Japan starting at 55,000 miles one way when you book directly with JAL. With the bonus, 57,000 Capital One miles becomes 55,575 JAL miles. Boston to Tokyo Narita, nonstop on JAL's 787 Sky Suite business class: ✅ Cash price: $4,286 ✅ Award price: 55,000 JAL miles + $353 ✅ At the normal rate you'd need over 73,000 Capital One miles ✅ That's 6.9 cents per Capital One mile after taxes Round trip is simply double. That's 110,000 JAL miles plus taxes and fees on each flight, so 114,000 Capital One miles covers it with the bonus. At the normal rate you'd need nearly 147,000. This bonus ends 11:59PM ET on September 30. You need to transfer by then, not fly by then. Transfers can't be reversed, so find award space before you move your miles.
