@jacksongalaxy: Gelato came into @Cincy Animal CARE as a stray, dragging his back end. His luck started to turn when Mallory Smith, the shelter's veterinary assistant lead, volunteered to foster him and started doing physical therapy with him at home. One issue: he was too small for any of the shelter's existing wheelchairs. So Mallory built him one out of rulers, ribbon, tape, and Hot Wheels cars. Later, she upgraded it using a 3D printer. 🦽 And Gelato's response to all of it? He wanted to play. He wanted to move. He wanted more life. That's the whole thing right there. Cincinnati Animal CARE showed every one of us what it looks like to do whatever it takes. Not just to save a life, but to make that life full. 🩷 The shelter isn’t new to caring for animals with mobility issues. A dog named Hutchin was severely emaciated and too weak to stand when she arrived. The shelter nursed her back to health, including using a wheelchair until she built up enough muscle in her legs to walk on her own. She's doing great and is still available for adoption, just sayin'... ➡️ Team Cat Mojo, I want to hear from you: have you ever fostered or adopted a special needs cat or dog? What did that experience teach you?

We a 4yr old cat and after the TX flood we came upon kittens. However, it seems our cat could be stressed due to 🩸in their stool. I’m unsure about keeping the kittens now. I don’t want me keeping them to effect our cats health & our shelters our full. Thoughts? 🐱 ❤️
