@uraan_stories_official: This 1,200-Year-Old Lion Controlled Another Animal’s Water. Around 850 CE, the Banu Musa brothers described a strange automatic device in the Kitab al-Hiyal. Model 5 had two basins: one beside a lion and another beside a small wild animal. Water could first be poured into the smaller animal’s basin, but it would not appear to drink. Then the lion’s basin was filled. Inside the hidden mechanism, the changing water level moved a float and operated a valve. That opened the previously blocked flow. Suddenly both animals appeared to drink. No electricity. No motor. Just water, buoyancy, hidden channels and an automatic valve.
