Honestly, if there isn’t something holding those who would exploit others in check, they will absolutely exploit others. We see this all the time when government’s fall and almost immediately various warlords pop up and control everything.

Lenin in state and revolution argued that the state is a fundamentally oppressive system brought into existence by class conflict. The proletariat can never be truly free under a state of any kind. That still doesn't mean that it's not necessary to oppress the capitalist minority by the majority.
