well yeah, you have to use critical thinking for a lot of games vs watching reality TV. not to mention a lot of gamers learn about computer/gaming technology for modding and boosting their console/PC. like just understanding if your system is compatible with the graphics of a game is basic knowledge for us. we find Easter eggs. like to break games. and many people even learn coding to create games or mods.

This has some merit; as a kid I was severely disabled and playing games like Zelda: OoT, Mario and some racing games helped with problem solving skills, critical thinking, reading comprehension and hand eye coordination better than most therapies
