First time using bisquick was a success☺️ Recipe: 3 cups Bisquick 1 cup granulated sugar 1 egg 1 can (16 oz / about 450 g) pumpkin purée 1½ tsp cinnamon ½ tsp nutmeg ¼ tsp allspice 1 cup chopped nuts, optional (I left these out) Preheat oven to 350°F / 175°C. Grease a loaf pan or line with parchment paper. Add Bisquick, sugar, egg, pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice to a large mixing bowl. Beat on low for about 30 seconds, scraping the bowl as needed. Beat on medium for 2–3 minutes. Fold in nuts if using. Pour into prepared loaf pan and bake for 55–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Browned Butter Glaze 🤎 2 tbsp unsalted butter 1 cup powdered sugar ½ tsp vanilla extract 1–2 tbsp hot water Melt butter in a small saucepan over medium-low heat. Continue cooking until golden brown with little browned bits and a nutty smell, then remove from heat. Stir in powdered sugar and vanilla. Add 1 tbsp hot water and stir until smooth, adding a little more water as needed until thick but drizzleable. Drizzle over the cooled loaf and let the glaze set before slicing. #pumpkinbread #bisquick #fallbaking #vintagerecipes #easybaking
