A month before this journey, I had no idea that I would soon be standing in front of the Ka’abah There was no plan. Umrah wasn’t even on my 2026 wish list, and honestly, it wasn’t something I was expecting to happen this year. It was completely unplanned. And somehow, that made the whole experience even more beautiful because it reminded me of something I’ve always heard ‘when it’s your time, Allah will make a way for you’ And He truly did. Everything just came together in a way I could never have planned myself. One minute, Umrah wasn’t even in my plans, and the next thing I knew, I was preparing to travel to the house of Allah. And the biggest blessing of all? It was my first Umrah, and Allah allowed me to experience it with my mother and my siblings There’s something so special about being able to make this journey with the people you love. To pray together, make du’a together, see the Ka’abah together and share memories that I know I’ll carry with me for the rest of my life. Looking back now, I’m just in awe of how Allah plans things for us. Sometimes we think we need to have everything figured out. We make lists, set goals and plan our lives months or even years ahead. But Allah can open a door you didn’t even know was there. This Umrah was never part of my plan. But it was part of Allah’s plan for me. And honestly, I couldn’t have written a better story myself. Alhamdulillah for the invitation Alhamdulillah for the journey Alhamdulillah for my family And Alhamdulillah for the opportunity to stand in places I had only ever seen in pictures. May Allah accept our Umrah, accept all our du’as, and invite us back again and again. Ameen
