to add to your idea, I would have had Antonia be the one to pull Kylie back the way it was Sally who pulled gillie back. I think it would have made for good mirroring

In the book, Kylie goes fully dark for a time and needs to be brought back to the light. It was like no one’s characters were fully fleshed out. Not to mention the deeper connection to Maria and Hannah Owens being lost in this.

I read the book and the 1998 movie is base loosely off the books.. it's almost separated yet shares a name. the books are super blah for the first one

I would argue that the lack of conformity to the original book story was the reason why it was so disconnected. I LOVE the books

Thank you! This was my issue too. Especially since they said the broke the curse at the end of the first movie. Sally’s story was a repeat of the first when it comes to her love life.
