Posture when riding dressage is important for a multitude of reasons 👉🏼 from effective application of the aids, balance in the saddle, and positioning of the rider to improving the overall picture as a combination. A tip from Gareth Hughes when training your posture, is to “never get stuck” ❌ What does this mean? 🙌🏼 If you are riding around the school and you are starting to loose your position and posture, come back to the walk. Regroup, reposition and start again. Keep reintroducing small sessions of work so you are able to train your body and muscles for the endurance of dressage riding. ✔️
