this was the same thing for the 1st game too. the more you hid, the more it learned to search. the more tools you used, the less effective it became.

I hated the alien in the first game, not because it was smart but cuz it was just blocking the game, sometimes it will re look the places where you were hiding totally blocking you the way out making it looking waits to keep advancing
